Cemeteries are a great source of information. Normally you can find a persons name, birth and death dates. Be forewarned, the information on a marker is not always correct. The markers are sometimes made made many years after the fact and the person having it made does not have the correct information. My Grandmother's date of death was, Oct 1, 1941 however, her marker has :Dec 7, 1941. We all know that was the day Pearl Harbor was bombed.

If you go to a cemetery to obtain information be respectful and don't do anything that might deface a marker. The information found HERE will tell you all you need to know. Why not join the Find a Grave project and take some pictures? It's free.
